Residential Curbside Garbage collection is not mandatory in Indian River County, although it is within the Vero Beach City Limits. As an alternative to curbside residential collection, you may use any of the five convenience centers without charge where you can drop off trash, yard waste, recyclables and "sharps". The convenience centers are for residential use only. No businesses please. If you would like to subscribe to residential collection service, and you live south of the Vero Beach City Limits or in Indian River Shores please call Treasure Coast Refuse at 562-6620. If you reside elsewhere in the county, please call Waste Management at 569-1776 to subscribe.
Even if decide not to subscribe for residential garbage collection, you may put out recyclables curbside for collection and you won't receive a bill for this service.
